THE GREAT GENERATION

Small and beautiful, the 800-square-meter space is formed by nesting several square boxes. The main entrance on the right serves as the reception space dominated by dark green stone. Next to it is the model area enclosed by the archway and the negotiation area connected to it. Around these two positive and negative spaces, several small functional spaces are inset as audio-visual areas, children’s playgrounds, vertical traffic, and backstage areas.

The space is a stage where the green and gray stones are the leading and supporting roles. Characterized by gradient etching processing, they maximize the contrast between imagery and reality, black and white, blank and details. By exploring the new look of stone materials and structures and expanding their limits, simplicity and retro collide and mix in the same area.

We put a giant arcade in the space to define the 2-storey model space, she has 18 rounded square arches. The arched beams and columns pay tribute to the unique architecture of the Republic of China era in Nanjing. The soft curves not only have a solemn and elegant volume, but also have pleasant details to achieve a perfect spatial package.
