Design Scores
Prizes
All submissions will be carefully evaluated by the Jury of Novum Design Award (NDA) in 10 categories: Architectural Design Category, Interior Design Category, Urban Planning and Landscape Design Category, Furniture Design Category, Lightning Design Category, Digital Art and Graphic Design Category, Packing Design Category, Product Design Category, Fashion and Textile Design Category, Photography and Photo Manipulation Design Category. NDA Jury shall evaluate and check all the submitted Designs for the following aspects: quality, technical adequacy, authentication of the Designs, etc. and give Design Scores. Jury have no informations about the Designers name, email address, location, age or profession. The Jury’s decisions will be binding. Designer shall not have any right to make an objection to the decisions given by the Jury.
After your submission has been finalized Novum Design Award staff jury will start the check your design. Scores are computer tabulated and averaged to prevent error. All entrant information is removed to prevent bias and design scores are assigned 10 aspects by the panel on a scale of 1-10. Total design score: 10+10+10+10+10+10+10+10+10+10=100. The entry in a category that gets 90-100 design scores receives the Golden Novum Design Award; 80-89 design scores receives the Silver Novum Design Award; 70-79 design scores receives the Bronze Novum Design Award. The Designer in a category who’s project gets 60-100 design scores has an opportunity to recieve the Designer of the Year Award.

Q: What are the deadlines for registration?
A: The Early registration deadline is 15.02.2023 24:00 UTC+1. The Standard registration deadline is 15.06.2023 24:00 UTC+1. The Late registration deadline is 15.08.2023 24:00 UTC+1. The Last registration deadline is 15.09.2023 24:00 UTC+1.
Q: What is the deadline for submission?
A: You can submit your project any time, but the last submission deadline is 01.10.2023 24:00 UTC+1.
Q: What are the steps for submitting an entry?
A: Here are the steps for the submission:
1. Get your „Registration Ticket”
2. We are going to send your Personal Award ID Number within 2 business days.
3. Submit your Design. Use your Personal Award ID Number.
4. We are going to send your Preliminary Design Score within 7 business days.
5. After you get your Preliminary Design Score you will see your Award Level. If you are not happy with the results you have the right to submit a new project or ask a 100% refund before the final submission deadline
6. Novum Design Award Winners will be announced 15.10.2023.
Q: What is the registration fee?
A: There are four registration periods. The Early registration fee is 100 EUR. The Standard registration fee is 200 EUR. The Late registration fee is 300 EUR. The Last registration fee is 400 EUR.
Q: What are the payment options for the registration fee?
A: We accept payment for submissions either by Credit Card, or Debit Card. Once a registration fee has been paid, there are no refunds provided. If you have been wrongly charged for any reason, we will be happy to credit the amount that is due.

Q: Are all the fees on your website in Euro?
A: Yes, at this time we only accept Euro (EUR) currency.

Q: Is there an “age-limit” on projects or designs that I submit, or a limit on how long ago a design or project was completed?
A: Projects or Designs must have been designed or completed after 2010.

Q: Is there a limit to the number of entries I can submit?
A: No, you may submit as many entries as you wish.

Q: Can I enter one design into multiple categories?
A: Yes, you may enter the same design into as many categories as you see fit. In fact, doing so may increase your chances of winning. However, there is an additional fee for each additional category you enter.
Q: Do I have to submit my design again if I want to nominate it an other categories too?
A: Yes, you do. You have to register and submit your design again and choose an other category.
Q: Can I submit designs which have already published or recieved other awards?
A: Yes, you can. Designer may submit both published, unpublished project and award-winning designs.
Q: What is the Personal Award ID Number?
A: We will send your Personal Award ID Number by email within 2 business days after your registration.
Q: Can I submit a hard copy of my work? Can I mail in a CD of my work?
A: No. Submissions are only accepted online. After the registration, submit your work here.

Q: What size and type of photo files can I submit?
A: Photo needs to be in high-resolution JPEG or PNG format and minimally have a long dimension of at least 2000 pixels. We recommend the file size not be larger than 3 MB to ensure a faster upload experience.
Q: How many images can I enter for each design?
A: You can submit up to 6 images for each design.

Q: Will I be notified if I've won an Award?
A: We do notify award Winners by we are going to publish the list of the Winners in our website.
Q: Do the category Winners receive a Trophy or Certificate?
A: The Novum Design Award Trophy will be given to the Golden, Silver, Bronze Novum Design Award Winners, and to the Designer of the Year in every categories. All the Winners will recieve a digital Certificate and physical Trophy.
Q: Do you send a printed Certificate?
A: We are going to send a high resolution Certificate only in digital version for all the Winners. You can print it in any size yourself or use it as a digital file or photo on your website, products and social media platforms.
Q: When will I get my Design Scores?
A: Within 7 working days aftter your submission.
Q: What does it mean if I get 85 Preliminary Design Scores?
A: After your submission has been finalized Novum Design Award staff jury will start the check your design. Judging is blind – they don’t know who has submitted the entry. Scores are computer tabulated and averaged to prevent error. All entrant information is removed to prevent bias and design scores are assigned 10 aspects by the panel on a scale of 1-10. Q: How will I know if you have received my entry?
A: You should receive a confirmation message in your screen from us after you submit your work. If you want our stuff can double check your submission, just feel free to send us a message: info@novumdesignaward.com
Q: Can I make changes to my entry after I have submitted?
A: You will not be able to edit your submission after it has been made. For this reason, please review your work carefully and make sure that the entries are submitted correctly before finalizing.

Q: Who owns the work and copyrights after it is submitted?
A: You do, of course. We have no intention of owning your work. Everything you submit is yours. Outside of the main prize, we look for unique opportunities for every artist who submits work into our system. We have developed an incredible network of media, gallerists, buyers and we want to put that to work for you. So far artists have gotten international media attention.
Q: How will my images be used?
A: Your images will only be used for purposes of promotion of the Novum Design Award. One of the great things about NDA is it's global reach. Through this platform, your image will be viewed with your credit all around the world. All participating designers thus far have been extremely happy with the manner in which their images have been used and promoted globally.
Q: Will I be compensated for the use of my images?
A: There is no monetary remuneration for the use of your image.

Q: Are transactions on Novum Design Award's website secure?
A: Yes. We use the latest encryption technology and trusted processors to make sure your personal information is kept confidential and private.
Terms of Use
A) This agreement is made between

Novum Design Award here in after (NDA) which is the sole owner of the Award (here in after Award); and,
Designer has registered to the Award and submit his/her Designs.

B) Acceptance
​
Designer hereby agrees the terms of this agreement by submitting his/her Designs to www.novumdesignaward.com (here in after Website).
​
C) The Subject of The Agreement
​
Within the scope of this agreement, the Designer shall submit his/her Designs to the Website in accordance with the terms and conditions situated in this agreement so as to participate the Award contest.
NDA shall have right to use the submitted Designs for promotional efforts on NDA’s websites, NDA's instagram page and NDA's facebook page. NDA shall have right to use the submitted Designs to communicate to the public. Designer shall accept and declare to give the right of usage of the submitted Designs and it accept not to put in a claim for using of the Designs within the scope of promoting and advertising for Award Contecst. The scope of use of the rights granted under this agreement is limited only to the promotion and advertisement of Award Contest.

D) The Duration of the Agreement
​
This agreement shall be in force from the date of submitting of the Designs by Designers. Designers shall accept and agree that NDA shall have right to use the Designs, right of adaptation (process) , right of reproduction, right to communicate a work to public by devices enabling the transmission of signs and/or images including the digital transmission, related to the Designs and other rights designated in this agreement without any limitation regarding location, number and content, and within the scope of promoting and advertising for Contest.

E) The Obligations of the Designer
​
Submitted Designs by Designer shall not violate any third party rights and NDA shall not be considered as responsible. In case of that NDA is pushed to make a payment to the third parties due to the violation of their rights, Designer shall accept, declare and undertake to compensate the all losses and damages of NDA. Designs submitted to the NDA’s website shall contain the relevant and correct information. Designer shall declare and undertake that submitted Designs must be taken after 01/01/2010.

F) The Rights of the Novum Design Award
​
Designer agrees to undertake the license non-exclusively to NDA the right to use his/her Designs, within the scope of promoting and advertising for Contest. Designer agrees and undertakes that NDA shall have right to reproduce and publish the original or copies of the Designers in any form or by any method, with all kinds of print techniques or in different formats through electronic methods, in physical or electronic media. In this regard NDA may reproduce and publish the Designs as Yearbook and complete works in different sizes and colours. NDA may reproduce and publish the Designs in physical media and transmit the Designs to its subscribers. Copyrights remain on the Designer, Designer shall give NDA right to use the submitted Designs with Designer’s credit.

There are 7 Award and 1 Honorable Mention in every categories. The entry in a category that gets 90-100 design scores receives the Golden Novum Design Award; 80-89 design scores receives the Silver Novum Design Award; 70-79 design scores receives the Bronze Novum Design Award; the Designer in a category who’s project gets 60-100 design scores has an opportunity to recieve the Designer of the Year Award.
J) Limits
Designer can enter as many registrations as he/she like. Designer can enter the same Design into as many categories as you see fit. In fact, doing so may increase your chances of winning. However, there is an additional fee for each additional category you enter.
