Project Description
Chinese culture emphasizes "yin and yang harmony"-meaning balance, and this spirit is perfectly reflected in Chinese food culture. The restaurant, as a carrier of dishes, must embrace this spirit in order to provide the most perfect culinary experience for visiting diners. This project is to create a new dining space for an old local restaurant, echoing the owner's spirit of craftsmanship, and burning the classical misty rain of the south and the creative ingenuity of Taiwanese cuisine into a delicious feast.
Inspired by the style of Suzhou, China, the designer extracts the essence of Chinese aesthetics and uses it ingeniously in the space. The exterior of the building retains the structure of the original building, combined with Chinese architectural features, making visitors experience as if they are instantly in the misty and rainy Jiangnan thousands of miles away. The space is dominated by calm and deep tones, creating a quiet and stable atmosphere, and the large wooden furniture is more reminiscent of traditional craftsmanship with a long history.
