Project Description
The designers broke away from the concept of traditional retirement homes and upheld the core value of "environment first, space second". With vibrant yet elegant colors, simple and clean material vocabulary, and creative designs rich in "Taiwanese flavors", the designers created a leisurely and relaxing atmosphere in the vast and unpretentious space, giving residents a new retirement lifestyle. In addition to the multi-functional Japanese-style room, the step-less design and the hollow, open storage function perfectly constructs a convenient, barrier-free life. A unique display and storage act as the vista at the entrance, shaping a three-dimensional visual effect and functions as an interesting prelude to the space.
The open dining and kitchen area is decorated with imported tiles of different shades, and the mottled beauty adds a rich and varied layer to the space; the pinewood pegboards used to construct the main wall can be interchanged at increase the interactivity between residents. The designer turned cement tiles unique to old Taiwanese houses into a screen and the gaps in between allow soft light to sprinkle through making the space orderly yet not without variety.
