This residential project is like a gift-box, in which the vertical connection of the stairs portrays the poetic life in the ‘house box’. In the design team’s opinion, the core concept of this project is to remove all the defects of the original building and highlight the best aspects of the house. The design team is like Anesidora who opened the “Gift Box”, releasing all the evils, and then reconstruct the room through reorganization of the structure, shaping visual atmosphere, and also control the acoustic. This project is like building a utopia for the client to release all the city troubles.
