Plantiful

The vegan restaurant Plantiful, completed by TORUS architectural studio opens its doors to revolutionize wellness by integrating design and customer experience.
TORUS developed a collaborative partnership with the owner, in which his vegan's lifestyle and philosophy would be integrated and considered into every aspect of design. Sustainability was the starting point and the inspiration for choosing materials and selecting local artisans. All millwork was fabricated by a group of carpenters from a small community, using reclaimed wood in tabletops and minimizing material waste by optimizing cuts in plywood sheets. Recycled textiles for uniforms and low energy consumption appliances where also part of the sustainable design strategy.
A clean monochromatic palette was implemented where plants and products would stand out within a seemingly sterile atmosphere while maintaining a sense of familiarity to customers. Natural materials, plants and finishes add to the customer’s experience of going back to basics, as the architecture serves as a mere backdrop.
A symmetric floor plan distribution is balanced by an organically distributed terrazzo-floor pattern. A variety of seating option
