Sadaf Restaurant

Designer’s Statement:
There might be no way to feel the old historic architecture and live in that environment in our present time; however, people always remember and imagine the historic time by whatever remained from the past and their memories based on their sub conscious. Sadaf Restaurant intended to tie the historic memories and modern feelings all together. The balanced contrast between two eras, brings joy and extraordinary experiences to all viewers.

1. What is the design concept and intent of this project?
Design originated by creating two sequences in time from modern to historic. Two different zones somehow is related to each other by design theme but it looks like a time travel tunnel from modern feeing to the historical memories. Lighting design and color theme give the luxurious feeling to the essence of historical elements. Glasses and mirrors emphasize the depth and extension of memories.
2. How does the design reflect the restaurant’s concept and cuisine?
Designer team incorporated historic finish materials and colors adjacent to modern light fixtures and furniture. Reflective materials give more depth to the design and create mysterious feelings in restaurant.
