West Kowloon Pavilion

With this pavilion proposal, the vibrant, windswept seaside openness of the Nursery Park is materialized and portrayed in the form of a slow dance.

A lightweight structure captures the movement of sea breezes, while underneath it, an accessible and user-friendly landscape connects the pavilion with the ground surface on site. In a dense, congested, fast-paced city such as Hong Kong, where even a breath of fresh wind is precious, this pavilion becomes the rightful oasis amid the metropolitan breathlessness, were visitors take recourse from the suffocating bustle and take inspiration from the wind’s lightness.
