Project Description
The concept of the façade is based on kaleidoscope, presenting with irregular geometric figures. Walnut veneer and laminate hard plastic sheet with architectural concrete pattern are used. Upon entering the room, Ukiyo-e style great warrior neon sign comes to ones’ eye, and the back wall is made of stone peel and stick tile. As the original project was an old metal house with three steel columns that cannot be removed, the designer hides the hard and unsightly columns with arc design. The arc design also echoes to the kaleidoscope design at the facade.
Eco-friendly Lotos plaster is applied on the walls and ceiling to create the irregular line by trowel finish. There is a painting on the right side on the wall, drawn by the design team, implying that the proprietor, as the great warrior, holding a wine bottle and creating his own world.
In the booth for eight on the left, houndstooth wall fabric is applied on the the wall, with the middle part left blank, to visually extend and enlarge the space. In the bar area, black walnut is used to make the irregular geometry design, with black background and backlight logo.
