Project Description
Spring Garden is an old brand restaurant featuring traditional Beijing cuisine. In order to attract more young consumers, designers adopt western architectural style in the oriental building prototype, and use modern spatial language to summarize the original historical form of Chinese classical architecture image as geometrical feature with a sense of the times. Based on the aesthetics of objects and images and combining the basic geometric framework of square and circle, it sublimates the cultural background of the dish itself into a medium art connecting commercial value and diners' experience, depicting the Chinese folk classics from 600 years ago.
The original space was too long and narrow in depth to form a visual focus, so through cutting and restructuring, the design team, adopting the traditional Chinese moon door, divides the space into two blocks: “inner court” and “outfield”. The moon door used for stagger segmentation enhances the emotional stickiness of the space and the interaction between the space and users, and highlights the avant-garde feeling of new Chinese trend.
